Dear all,
I am using LyX 1.5.1 on Ubuntu Linux 7.04 ("feisty"), and I found out that
if I enter the single ERT command:
\includegraphics{imagefile}
in an article document (where imagefile.ps is in the local directory), I am
not able to see the image in a pdf file when using View/PDF(ps2pdf), or in a
ps file when using View/Postscript.
After some time and lots of help from Paul Rubin on the lyx help mailing
list, I found out that the newer version of dvips (dvips(k) 5.95b) does NOT
accept absolute paths and LyX automatically converts the figure filename to
an absolute path.
A quick solution is to modify LyX preferences to use, instead of "dvips",
the command "dvips -R0" which instructs dvips to behave like the former
version.
I thought this information may be useful to the developing team.
best regards
giuseppe
