Hi, I tried installing your complete version of LyX 3 times. And each time it fails at the point where it tries to install MiKTeX, and then it aborts the installation.

Yes, because installing fonts to LaTeX is difficult. But you are using MiKTeX that should already do everything for you. It seems that MiKTeX is broken. I therefore propose to 1. uninstall LyX _completely_ 2. uninstall MiKTeX _completely_ 3. uninstall Aspell and all its dictionaries (if installed) 4. open an Internet connection 5. reinstall LyX using the complete version of my LyX for Windows installer: http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/LyXWinInstaller The installation might take some time but installs all you need at once, including also MiKTeX that will additionally configured for LyX. > I also tried Livio's suggestion of document -> font and choosing the LM > family, but that didn't seem to work either. Another hint that your MiKTeX installation is broken or incomplete, because also the LM fonts are standard in MiKTeX. regards Uwe
