Hi, I'm just starting to use Lyx (2.0.3) on Mac OS X (10.6.8).
I'm following the Tutorial and ran into a problem right away: I got to the third step in 2.1.1: the title bar of my new doc says "~/newfile1.lyx(changed)". I "Save As..." and drop down the expanded dialog to include a file view and a "New Folder" button. I create a new folder (~/LyXTemp), and try to save into that directory. I then get a dialog that says " The file /Users/justin/LyXTemp/newfile1.lyx is already open in your current session. Please close it before attempting to overwrite it. Do you want to choose a new filename? Rename Cancel" which, to me, is inexplicable. Is LyX being to clever for me? Please CC me, as I'm not subscribed. Thanks! Justin -- Justin C.
