Oops. That was supposed to be "delete", not "send". I eventually figured out where my confusion lay: the doc says "choose Enumerate from the Environment box (...)' Pow!" The parenthetical is an icon of the "enumerate" list; I took that to mean that I should choose from whatever showed up when clicking that icon in the toolbar (which was unrelated to list environment types). In fact, it's the icon *for* the Environment box (which is itself a drop-down menu). I tend to be a literalist, which makes reading documentation a bit of a trial for me :-} So, no harm, no foul.
