Hello,

I have a paper that I would like to convert to a two columns paper that would
appear like this :

                          TITLE
                        AUTHOR

(COLUMN 1) (COLUMN 2)

blablabla blablabla

I started by seting 2 columns in Menu->Layout->Document.; this gives me :

(COLUMN 1) (COLUMN 2)
TITLE blablabla
AUTHOR
blablabla

So I've tried to use the multicol package, The first problem was that this
package doesn't support Floats, so I removed them. The second one deals with
inline equations; these ones get centered in the middle of the page and not
in the middle of the column. How could I alter this behaviour ?

As I have to finish this paper by tomorow, no need to say that any little help
would be greatly appreciated.

N.B. : By the way, latex tells me that marginpars not allowed inside
`multicols' ; is it to say that it is incompatible with the geometry package ?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

Best regards,
Abdel.

This solution doesn't fit my satisfy me because the title gets also in which
have would like -- ____________________________________________________
