I had nearly given up hoping to get an anwer at all ... ;)

Hmmm... I admit that most people work with color screens these days, but
nevertheless it would be nice to have this solved...

Finally, I think the LaTeX errors I got had different reasons. I ignored
indeed that LaTeX digests something like \textrm {text}.

OK then - what do I have to change to make LyX display the X11 epsilon
when I type \varepsilon ? I use \varepsilon systematically because it
looks nicer than \epsilon (in the output). But my formulas get long (in
LyX). So I would just have LyX display "\epsilon" in red and the X11
epsilon for \varepsilon. Could you indicate me the appropriate place(s) in
the code ? (Alejandro...?)

good :)

Would be nice, though :(
Basically, it would mean _not_ to interpret the LaTeX commands in
mathed on demand...
Could you put it on some "to do" list ? Perhaps someone takes the time
someday. ;)

Don't know. It happens during basic text or math editing. I see them when
I switch back to the console I called LyX from. They are probably
harmless, as I noticed no malfunction of LyX.

:)
BTW: any timescale for 0.12.1 (without any "pre") ?
Greets,
Matthias
