If you use the revtex.cls file that's included with lyx (in lib/latex),
then it will make latex go into compatibility mode automatically. (If
you've got some fancy stuff in your revtex.cls now, you can just copy the
line(s) that make it go into compatibility mode. From what I remember,
they're pretty clear (but I might be remembering wrong).
