Sorry J-P, I didn't answer before because I didn't know how to check
this.
In fact I had set the line in lyxrc to: use_temp_dir false
(or whatever). I had done that because someone at one point had said
that
this method fixed the false "ghostscript processes running" message/bug.
Anyway as you had originally said, the problem was just that one .ps
file was screwy because it had originated on a Mac. Fixed up the file
and all is well. Sorry for having missed this file somehow--all the
rest were OK. In fact LaTeX choked on the PREVIOUS figure. I kept
looking at it, and it was OK.
