Title pages in lyx-1.0.0

[Example user S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3]

It seems with every version change my older documents experience title
page problems, meaning they do not appear properly (looks like standard
mode). Now that Latex title is obsolete (but still greyed in pulldown?),
is there a fix for this? Thanks.
