I don't understand why LyX doesn't provide a default "typewriter" style;
it has Noun, Bold, Emphasize but I'd think that the large majority of
docs written in LyX would need some kind of fixed-width font character
style (I know about paragraph styles that are fixed width, but I'm
talking about putting filenames, user commands, etc. into documents).
How does everyone else do this? I used the Character Layout window to
create one, then I can use the "Font" button on the buttonbar to set the
selected text to that style... but it isn't really a style, because if I
change the font size, for example, _not_ all the instance change.
Why doesn't LyX have this very fundamental character type? Is there any
way I can add it in a more permanent, and well-integrated, way? What
does everyone else do?
