Make the point that:
"Our problem is that we've standardized on a product
rather and a data exchange format!"
If you standardize on a data exchange format, then you can do so on a format
that is completely portable and non-platform dependent!
I know most management types won't go for that, but I think it's a great thing
to point out anyway :)
