Your terminology shows that you yet lack understanding of LaTeX. You
should seriously consider reading Goosens et al "The LaTeX companion"
or some similar book.

You need the .ins and the .dtx file (or the .sty if the former aren't
there). Then go to your local TeX-tree (could be
/usr/lib/texmf/teTeX/tex/latex/ or /usr/lib/texmf/texmf/... or
something). Create a scripttex directory and put the files in
there. Run LaTeX on the ins file to create the sty file. Run LaTeX on
the dtx file to get the documentation. Run texhash to make TeX aware
of the new stylefiles. *READ* the documentation. Edit your LyX
preamble and add \usepackage{scripttex} or whatever the docs say.

The latest versions of LyX crudely support the import of LaTeX files.

No way, DuDE. RTFM first. You're basically asking for free
tutoring. Things don't work this way.

BAD idea. You don't need to *know* LaTeX but you must understand how
it works. There should be file called l2short to get you started. If
you're trying to do something fancy (like using heavily hacked
packages as you obviously are trying to do), you are IMAO far better
off using XEmacs with aucTeX. YMMV.
