Did you change your system since you compiled 0.12? Your situation
seems so horrible that it looks like a bug in your compiler (which one
is it) or libc version. Could you make sure that all the relevant
updates have been applied to your system?
Hm. I used a ready-made 0.12 binary. If you mean a system update:
I just generated a new Debian system from scratch, and after finishing
it, I compiled LyX.
