Dear All,
I've sent a message to the list with the same content, but I
never got it back, and doesn't seem to be in the archive, so I assume
it has been lost in some optical fiber :) If it hasn't, I apologize
for sending the same stuff twice.

On to the query. I have been a happy user of lyx 0.12 for
quite a while now, since I could get a debian package to install it
without any hassle. I had some spare time, so I dl'ed the preview
version, and compiled without pains. If I call the program
(/usr/local/bin/lyx), lyx's screen pops up for a second, before a
segmentation fault is reported and the screen disappears. I tried
running it through gdb, but since the file was stripped, it didn't
provide any information.

I am using debian 2.0.36 (might that be the cause?), on an
i586/200. Has anybody had similar problems? I read some messages on
the list of people having trouble accessing the menus, which, in my
case would require much ability with the mouse :))))

        Cheers, and best regards,
Jose
