Hello,
(I know this question's been put before - but never really answerered).
I just discovered LyX a couple of days ago, and find it great, suits
my way of thinking. Worked fine right off the net (ver 0.12, RedHat).
However, I have some type 1 fonts that I paid money for, and
want very much to be able to print. How do I do it?
I've looked at all the help-documents in LyX, and some in LaTeX and
dvips. The following is what I tried, with no change in the printed
output:
- Added the .pfb files, each family in its own dir under
.../texmf/fonts/type1/adobe
- Downloaded font descriptions from
ftp://ftp.loria.fr/pub/ctan/fonts/psfonts/adobe/
and appended to psfonts.map
- Ran texhash
- Added to the LaTeX preamble: \renewcommand{\familydefault}{pbb}
(for Bembo)
All this to no avail.
I'd really appreciate any hints.
Perhaps there exists a simple cook-book style manual to get you
started with fonts? No? Ah well, I didn't think so.
Best regards,
