Unfortunately, I think the situation is still the same in 1.0 :( The
fact is, the bibliography support is written in an ad hoc way (as far
as I can tell), and it is a bit difficult to make it performs things
it was not designed to do...
I do not think this will be fixed before 1.1, where the redesign will
hopefully result in a cleaner implementation.
