You can try to add
\renewcommand{\headrulewidth}{0pt}
in the LaTeX preamble. However, this will affect all the pages of the
document. For finer effects, you should consult the fancyhdr.sty
documentation. This is fancyhdr.dvi somewhere on your hard disk, or
