While this is probably true, most .ps files work fine in both LyX and
LaTeX. If there is a problem, it may be with the particular file format. I
believe there is a ps2eps command line program which one could try for
converting ps to eps. Also, I would make sure that the files can be viewed
with gv or ghostview.
