Try to insert these lines into your Preamble:
\newcommand{\NN}{\mbox{I\hspace*{-0.05cm}N}}
\newcommand{\RR}{\mbox{I\hspace*{-0.05cm}R}}
This works fine for me for |N and |R, but doesn4t work for |C and |Z. It4s a
little bit dirty, I know, sorry!
