reLyX and latex2lyx

Hi 

Is there any possibility to combine the features of 
reLyX and latex2lyx in an automatic way.
I know that for quite a while the perl script reLyX is considered as
the build in machine to convert LaTeX to LyX, however reLyX does not
convert tabular environments into WYSIWYG display.

Latex2lyx the old C program does this, however suffers from other
defects like $ in a LaTeX file are not accepted while reLyX converts
them to \( etc.
