Hi! When I write a letter (I just installed LyX 1.3pre4 in RedHat 6.0) in LyX and want to see its appearance using xdvi or gv, the LaTeX run quits with 2 error messages at the top of the file. Opening them, I get: !Latex Error File 'size12.clo' not found <read> \.69\input(Size1\@ptsize.clo) ^^M ***(Cannot \read from terminal in nonstop modes) The other error message I get (there are two red error boxes that show up in the text) is: !Latex Error: File "size12.clo" not found. or enter new name.(default extension .clo) Enter file name: This shows up in an error dialog box when clicking on the red error box in the letter text. (I cleaned off my RH 5.2 and old LyX 1.0.0 before installing 6.0 and the LyX 1.0.3pre4 -- which seems to have resulted in the loss of a number of perfectly fine acting document type files (now they're rather _wierd_ - article, for example, isn't just 'article' but shows up as some wierd type of article). Anyway, what must I do to get this thing to quit giving me such error messages? Anyone know what these things mean? And how to fix what's wrong? (I think some strange non-LaTeX/TeX font is being called for by the new _wierd_ document type that isn't there... but if that's the case, how do I change the thing back to good old Times Roman?... or just fix it so whatever the font is is found -- IF that's the trouble?) Thanks guys, for any help you can offer! Ralph
