Hello,
this days I am going out of swap space, and didn't understand why.
What happens is that every picture in the Lyx document is increasing the
memory allocated in the X server.
Look that:
2:03pm up 1 day, 4:30, 3 users, load average: 0.98, 0.76, 0.43
74 processes: 72 sleeping, 2 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 4.0% user, 17.9% system, 0.0% nice, 78.3% idle
Mem: 39008K av, 38164K used, 844K free, 15396K shrd, 632K buff
Swap: 32092K av, 29356K used, 2736K free 5440K cached
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
3388 root 3 0 32472 22M 768 S 0 3.4 59.8 12:53 X
I suppose that is not a bug, pictures must be stored somewhere, else it
would be too slow to reload each time you move in the lyx document. Well,
a strange thing happen, some pictures are loaded with white background,
and others with transparent backgroud.
Putting "Do not display this picture" solves my memory problems.
