I put a 'twoside' option explicitly in tex file and now everything is
OK.
However, I can not explain the strange behaviour.

I'm running SuSE 6.1.
It makes things a little bit complicated while working with LyX because
I cannot put it in preamble, or there is some more elagant solution?
