I do not remember whether I answered to you in particular on this
subject, so here it goes again: I do not think you will be able to
compile LyX with gcc 2.7.x now. The only possibility of doing that is
probably to use STLport (www.stlport.org), which replaces libg++ 2.7
with a _much_ better version. However, I am not sure that LyX will
compile with it currently, although it is certainly possible.
