I just installed lyx 1.04 on a redhat 6 intel box.
I tried both rpm's available in the bin directory
of the ftp archive. Bothe installed fine. But both
come up with the same error when I run them:
A window pops up proclaiming Lyx wasn't able to find
any layout description and tells me to check the contents
of the textclass.lst file. I looked at /usr/share/lyx/textclass.lst
and see that it contains only comments. I tried running
/usr/share/lyx/configure
it runs but ends with
.
.
.
creating textclass.lst
.
.
removing textclass.lst, which is identical to system global version.
.
.
What can I do?? I need lyx!!
