verbatim with Linuxdoc template

I'm using LyX v 1.0.1 and the linuxdoc-template to generate SGML files.

I want to insert source code in my document, when using "Code Style"
the white spaces are preserved but I have to put on all the end of
lines a <Ctrl-Return> !! 

Is there another more friendly way to insert source code when using
the linuxdoc-template (something as easy-to-use than the Latex verbatim
mode)?
