This is true.
Luckily it seems that Dick has not done a lot yet. I would be very
happy to have him aboard as our Gnome person. In particular we could
get some insight in what Gnome requires.
I can however understand some relucance in joining the LyX team. Our
gui independence is mostly laid out but has not been implemented yet,
so a gnome developer could not just begin the "gnome-codifying" right
away, on the other hand by joining now we can be steared in the right
direction to be a very good Gnome tool. Also all parties benefits from
avoiding a fork of The LyX Project.
