nesting includes

Why is nested includes not supported in LyX? Is there any
other way of achieving the same result?

I have a master document with included sub documents, in
which I'd like to include sub documents.

The sticker on the side of the box said:  "Supported Platforms: Windows 95, Windows NT 
4.0, or
better", so clearly Linux was a supported platform.
