Well,
I've encountered a strange feature in LyX-1.0.4. We have at work both
Hp-workstations with HP-UX 10.20 and Sun-workstations with Solaris 7.
In both systems we have compiled LyX-1.0.4 with gcc-2.8.1. However, in
Solaris-version in multiline equations the math-nonumber toggle does
nothing whereas with HP-UX-version everything works as it should.

Has anybody any ideas why this happens. There are also other
Solaris-only features in other programs like fvwm-2.2.2 etc. I thought
HP-UX sucks but after trying Solaris 7 I'm not so sure anymore...

By the way, addind the most recent patches in HP-UX broke
ghostscript rendering of eps figures in xdvi. So any hints in this
area are also wellcome. We have xdvi version 22.05d-k with a reasonably
new teTeX-1.0 and gs-5.10 in HP-UX. Yes, and I tried to compile the
most recent xdvi-22.22 but getting it to work with the
teTeX-distribution is NOT easy. There are detailed instructions for
compiling xdvi for teTeX-1.0 in the tar-archive but unfortunately these
instructions were not detailed enough :-(

Best regards, Kimmo Koli
