d-brief broken

im using a  d-brief-en letter, which works fine on two destop, but not
my laptop. (all mandrake 6.1, but not full install for the laptop).

the name+ adress is not shown , the refs are on top of the letter..

anybody guess what it could be?
(a rpm -qa � grep tex shows the same rpm)
(ive tried 1.1.4, and back 1.1.3, same result)
(i also tried the example, works on the desktops, not the laptop)
same for d-brief-ge.

Any guess ?
