Well I guess it's really enought if you set the temp-path in lyxrc to
'$HOME/.lyx/tmp' AND this is already possible for all of them who worry
about their privacy.
BTW.: You also can start lyx as . umask 077;lyx if you really want! I don't
like if programs think they are smarter then me and change MY
defaults if I don't ask it from them!
