Well I know this isn't quite what you had in mind, and perhaps may even
be a math macro (I know virtually no latex, but learn all the time!),
but in your preamble you could put:
\newcommand{\hello}{Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World}
and then with meta-c-t and \hello you would get a printed document with
the result.

I know it isn't the same as a macro in many word processors, but I find
it quite useful for providing repetitive information in documents.
