Q: Apropos tables

I want to have several lines of text within ONE FIELD of a table. E.g:

Monday    |Apples
---------------------
Tuesday   |Apples   |      
          |and Kiwi |
---------------------
Wednesday |McDo'    |

A linebreak (C-return) looks ok in LyX, put does not work in the latex output..
(Apples and Kiwi go on the same line).

Any tips?
