Sorry folks, I just learned something about "too many unproceeded floats" at the DE-TeX-FAQ: there are only 18 possible floats. This is not good, because it would be fine to create a picture-collection like a "catalogue" in scientific works. I am confronted with this problem because I am studying history of art. LyX would be just the right thing for "scholars in humanities" (Geisteswissenschaftler), because they are not confronted with the problems of word etc.. Now I removed the "\caption"-elements and made two figures into one float. This float is as big as a pdf-a4-page. That means that I can put 36 pictures into this catalogue, but without index of figures. Perhaps I try the "morefloats"-package, too. Please excuse this interruption and my lousy english. Werner
