Herbert; Kayvan helped me out on this, I was also lost in
the maze of old lyx files on my machine ( it looks like a
lot of the old stuff doesn't get touched by the upgrades,
but I don't know which I can remove safely ), He told me to
move aside the ~.lyx dir and restart, after I restarted,
it made a new ~.lyx/ and all my document classes were there
so I copied the lyxrc and phonebook over and rm'ed the old
`.lyx. Now it works perfectly. I use the rpm's.
regards,
