Hello all, I ran into a strange problem that I can't find info for in TFMs or the archives. I recently had to rebuild my system ground up. I've reinstalled LyX, but suddenly can't view DVI or PS files. Nothing comes out. I have the requisite software, it's all the same software that was on the system before. When I go to view DVI or PS, nothing happens. No files are generated in the tmp directory except .tex and .tex.dep. I started LyX in a terminal (rxvt) and saw this when I went to view DVI ----view DVI---- in terminal window: sh: report.tex: command not found file:report.dvi: no such file or directory in lyx buffer: xdvi -paper us 'report.dvi' & ----view PS---- in terminal window: This is dvips 5.86 yada yada dvips: ! DVI file can't be opened. in lyx buffer: dvips -o 'report.ps_tmp' -letter 'report.dvi' ------------------- This is probably a simple fix that I just haven't found yet.
