I've tried this (using LyX 1.1.5 under RH Linux 6.1) but when I type \limits in math mode and hit the space key, I still see "limits". (This is unlike typing \int. When you hit the space key, the "int" changes to the integral sign.) I've looked at the .lyx file and see the sub/superscripts below/above the integral sign. But I cannot replicate it. Even copying and pasting does not work (the limits move to the right and upward/downward). Do I need something in the preamble?
