bibtex, gerplain.bst

Hello,

I have a problem with bibtex and a german stylefile for formating the
reference list.
While citations are printed as wanted using plain.bst. (In the bibtex gui I
rip the *.bst from it.) I only get a number of error messages for
gerplain.bst if there is more than one author in the bibtex file.
The program complains about an undefined control sequence in the error
message popup.
