Feature Suggestion: Highlighting large blocks of text

Hi,

I imagine this has been suggested already, but couldn't
find the message. As great as LyX is, I find it 
annoying to move large blocks of text around. This is
mainly because you have to drag the cursor over the
entire text you want to select (i.e., you can't specify
start and end points - to my knowledge). Perhaps the
standard 'click once for start, shift-click for end' 
would be a nice addition.
