| If you don't install the 1.1.6cvs, but run it from the src
| directory (where it is compiled), it shouldn't be too difficult.

Thank you: it worked, but the problem is now that 1.1.6 doesn't seem 
to recognize my LANG environment variable, so it doesn't start in 
Spanish....

I can't figure how to tell LyX that he should use LANG=es. Please 
tell me if you find an answer,
