Not so necessary, since xfontsel does this already. Run xfontsel. Select a
font. Open font selection menu in LyX. Press "select" button in
xfontsel. Press then middle button in the line where you would enter the
font name. But I think you probably need to edit the pasted font line
slightly for LyX.
