I'm working on a project right now that requires me to create
auto-fillin documents. I want to use LyX to create the docs, then go to
LaTeX, then programmatically fillin "fields" in the LaTeX, the use
texi2pdf. My big problem is that I need to have two things in the
footer of every page.

1. Page 1 of X Page 2 of X Page 3 of X etc...
2. One or two "initial" blocks.

As you can guess these are contractual documents.

I'm not trying to be lazy, but I've looked through multiple documents,
and through the mail archive, and manually inspected (okay I am lazy I
used grep alot :) the .layout and .inc files.

Can anyone give me a pointer to the right way to do this? I'd prefer
to do it in LyX where I have a WYSIWYM to design the footer, but if I
need to do it in LaTeX or ERT that's fine too.
