I think that it is tex2html. Lyx dispays the msg :
this document was generated using the latex2html
The address that J.M. gave me mention a file .Xdefaults in which
we must add Netscape*documentFonts.chareset*adobe-fontspecific:iso-8859-1
but I don't have a file named .Xdefaults.
Perhaps my version of netscape is too old.
Thanks to you all for your help.
Gerard.

Out of subject:
Concerning the compilation of lyx-1.1.6 I've got the msg displayed:
...................
make[3] enterring directory '/usr/local/lyx-1.1.6/src'
g++ -DHA_CONFIG_H ..... /boost ..... -C lyxfunc
VM :do_tryto_free_pages failed for kwapd
VM :....................................
VM :....................................
then the compilation failed.
I restarted "make" and the same msg displayed again but
the compilation was accomplished successfully and lyx works
fine.
