Is that related to LyX's little quirk where sometimes, after its own dialog
boxes close, LyX does not regain focus? I cannot count the times where, while
touch-typing (not watching screen), I have done something like "yada yada
<M-i-r> volt-example-1 <return> blah blah..." only to find that the "blahs"
went nowhere because the WM did not re-focus LyX when the "Insert reference"
box closed. I have seen this behavior under different window managers
(WindowMaker, KDE[12]).
So, I have to look more often at what I've been typing... normally I don't
like to do that because I might find a mistake. ;)
