I don't know about Win32 X-servers, but generally you have to permit to
an application (LyX) or a host to be client on your X-server. I suppose
your X-server has to be set up to accept the display of local
X-applications on your local screen (127.0.0.1:0). On X-systems you
would use programs like xauth or xhost to do that.
