After creating an empty file textclass.lst I get the following error:

Making all in reLyX
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/mru/lyx-1.1.6fix1/lib/reLyX'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mru/lyx-1.1.6fix1/lib/reLyX'

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `packages.lst', needed by `all-am'.
Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mru/lyx-1.1.6fix1/lib'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
[mru@pc-mrumpf lib]$

After creating an empty file packages.lst the build process runs without
an error.
The start-up fails with the following error message:

[mru@pc-mrumpf lib]$ /usr/local/kde/bin/lyx &
[mru@pc-mrumpf lyx-1.1.6fix1]$ LyXTextClassList::Read: no textclasses
found!
----------------------------------------
LyX wasn't able to find any layout description!
Check the contents of the file "textclass.lst"
Sorry, has to exit :-(
----------------------------------------

[1]+ Exit 1 /usr/local/kde/bin/lyx

I think the problem can be resolved by providing valid files for

- lyxrc.defaults
- textclass.lst
- packages.lst

What is the purpose of these files and where can I get them from (CVS) ?
If it is too complicated to build them manually could someone please
send me some valid files by email....

Thanks a lot in advance,
        Michael
