You should really switch to biblatex. It is the way to fine tune your bibliography and make certain fields appear or not. If you stick with natbib, it is much more difficult.
Try to compile the examples in the biblatex package from the command line to check that you have all what is needed to have biblatex functionning and then go back to LyX. C.
