At any rate, it would be great to have a feature that would do whatever needs done to apply the specified headings style globally. It would be more useful to me than a setting that applies the specified headings style to only some pages, which is what we have now. I'm not sure what such a solution would require, but it would ideally work for all document classes. It seems to me that the idea of setting the heading style, then disabling anything that subsequently changes the headings style is a good place to start. Jacob
