" Your are right, that elyxer actually converts the lyx file to HTML. Export is done with settings suited for import into OpenOffice/LibreOffice and the OO/LO is called to view the file. This is one way to get LyX files into ODF format. Depending on the file content, this gives acceptable/good/bad results and may be better/worse than other routes. Günter
