Unfortunately, the absolutelynotpagebreak environment does not work
either. Sometimes it just leaves have a page blank before the
environment even though it is only three lines that are kept together...

Mark the description and quote part. Then click on the box button, which
is left of the link button. This will insert a minipage which cannot
have pagebreaks.
Oh, I thought I had answered this. The minipage method does not work
because it will produce the footnote directly under the description
instead of at the end of the page.
Parbox does not produce any footnotetext. So it would be a(n irksome)
workaround to insert a \footnotetext manually.
